A client from the United States was referred to Fiberpay by their Financial Advisor while in the process of purchasing a property in London.
The Challenge
The client's US bank charged high fees for international transfers, and they were concerned that currency fluctuations could increase the final cost of their new home. Additionally, they didn't have a UK bank account, which added another layer of complexity to the transaction.
The Solution
We provided the client with a secure multi-currency account in their own name, allowing them to transfer US Dollars efficiently. Our currency specialists then helped them convert the funds into Pounds at a highly favourable rate, ensuring the money was ready for completion.
This approach was favoured by the client's solicitor, as it guaranteed that all checks were completed ahead of time. Crucially, it also ensured the funds were credited to their client account from an account in the client's name well in advance of completion.
The Result
At the point of completion, the funds were transferred directly to the solicitor's client account and credited within minutes, making the entire process seamless and stress- free.
Importantly, the client was able to save significantly compared to converting the currency with their bank, which helped to offset some of the legal and purchase fees involved.
